It's a.....
When we first found out we were going to have a baby we thought it was a girl...I don't know why because growing up I thought I always wanted a boy first, but once we left the doctor's we thought for sure it was a boy. So on Friday night we decided one would pull for a girl and the other a boy...you can tell by the color of our tops. Anyway, Ryan gave me the knife and I cut into the corner of the cake and much to our surprise it was PINK! I was shocked, I really that it was going to be a boy! We are very excited and very nervous!
I am also very proud of myself for not looking at the ultrasound- I am known for ruining surprises! I thought it was extra special to find out with our family and friends!

12 weeks
Well everyone pretty much knows that I'm pregnant-even though I haven't told many people. I guess word gets around fast. This pregnancy was definitely a surprise! I thought I had it all planned out, first graduate next May, get pregnant on my graduation trip, and work for the next nine months until I had the baby. But I guess I can't plan everything to happen my way! I am still hoping to graduate in May, I'll just have to put off working for a while. My due date is Feb. 11, 2010, right in the middle of the term, but I keep thinking if my mom did it why can't I?
Whenever I took the first test and saw that it was positive I cried and told Ryan I didn't think I was ready and he just said, "maybe this is the best way because I don't think you were ever going to be ready." Which is probably true, I would have made up some excuse why we should wait just a little longer.
I also kinda wish I would have waited to tell my family until my first trimester was over because the day after I told them I started feeling the ALL DAY "morning sickness," I also have been sleeping in 'til 10Am almost every morning- I haven't made it to Relief Society in over a month, I feel inactive and I have to watch out for every smell or I'll toss my cookies! I have been feeling better though these past few days and I even woke up at 730 this morning so maybe this sickness will move on out and I'll start to feel much better! (Knock on wood!)

French Rivera
The first port of call after we sailed from Barcelona was Cannes, France. I am so glad we got upgraded and had balcony in our room! When booking the cruise back in August Ryan selected the cheapest room we could get-an interior with no view! Whenever we checked in we were told we were upgraded to a better room! Sweet! Because if we hadn't gotten that room we would have missed out on the beautiful views! Waking up in Cannes was gorgeous! The city was getting ready for the film festival that was going to be held there the next week and it was such a nice day! We just walked around the little alley ways looking in the shops and cafes. When we were heading back to the ship we stopped off at the beach and put our feet in the water to say that we've been in the Mediterranean Sea. We also had out fair share of topless old women! We decided to lay out on the ship and I was just thinking to myself looking onto the water and the mountains, Oh my gosh how lucky am I to be laying out in the French Rivera right now when I could be back at Dalton taking my finals! :) Then when the ship sailed from there to Livorno, Italy the mountains in the background were so beautiful!...I wish I were still there...

Its been a while...
I don't think I've posted anything since I started summer school. But I'll try to post some more pictures from our trip. It was a great trip and I hope Ryan and I can go back soon!

Espana
On day three of our trip we flew to Barcelona, Spain. It was such a beautiful city! It was really clean and nice. The night before we flew in, Barcelona had just bet Madrid in soccer so I think thats the reason for the big celebration, because we got to go to a carnival that was close to the hotel where we were staying. It was crazy but a lot of fun. The next day we didn't have to get on the ship until 4 so we went around the city and saw some of the big sites of the city. We got to see the Sagrada Familia, the "dragon house", walk through the gothic quarter and see the Columbus monument next to the port. Ryan and I really liked Barcelona and I think if you're going to go to Europe you should def try to stop there it was such a neat city! Here are some pictures from Barcelona.
